Caruso & Minini grew out of the Caruso family's century-old vineyards in the Trapani countryside, which Francesco Caruso first planted in the early 1900s. In the late 1990s Nino Caruso's sons Stefano, Francesco and Roberto partnered with the Minini family of Brescia, giving the estate its own production and bottling and a route to around 40 export markets. Today Stefano's daughters Rosanna and Giovanna run the company from Marsala, with vineyards at Salemi between 200 and 450 m above sea level.
