Located in Guardia Grande, within the province of Alghero on the northwest coast of Sardinia, the producer is situated in a pristine area characterized by the brick-red clay soil where they cultivate and produce their wines, including Vermentino and Cannonau di Sardegna.
Nascimento is 100% Cannonau from sandy-clay alluvial soils 30 metres above sea level, aged in small oak barrels. Vibrant ruby red, with bramble, blueberry and blackcurrant on the nose over hints of rose, violet and juniper. Warm and enveloping on the palate, with a bright, refreshing finish. Serve at 16–18 °C with aged Sardinian pecorino or spit-roasted suckling pig.

Podere Guardia Grande is a young estate near Capo Caccia on the coast north of Alghero, owned by the Veronesi family (Signorvino). Its 18 hectares of Vermentino, Cannonau and the local Cagnulari grow on sandy-clay soils studded with quartzite, 30 metres above the sea and ringed by Mediterranean scrub. The estate is converting to organic farming and describes its approach as simply a 'normal' respect for the land.
