J. Hofstätter Winery was founded in 1907 in Tramin, South Tyrol, by Josef Hofstätter. Known for pioneering single-vineyard (“Vigna”) wines, the estate grew under Paolo Foradori in the 1950s. Today, it’s led by Martin Foradori Hofstätter, who continues to focus on terroir-driven, sustainable winemaking.

A classic, highly expressive Pinot Grigio with a bright straw-yellow hue. Enticing aromas of citrus, peach, honeydew melon, and a prominent note of pear. Medium-bodied and fruit-forward, it offers a well-structured palate with orchard fruit flavors and a crisp, lively acidity on the finish.

Producer

Founded in 1907 in Tramin by blacksmith-innkeeper Josef Hofstätter and his wife Maria, the estate is now run by the fourth generation, Martin and Beatrix Foradori Hofstätter, with son Niklas (trained in oenology) joining. In 1987 Paolo Foradori pioneered the single-vineyard 'Vigna' classification in Alto Adige. Vineyards sit on both sides of the Adige valley, with further holdings at Maso Michei in Trentino and Dr. Fischer on the Mosel.
