Tasting note
A wine of ruby red colour with notes of red berries and volcanic ash on the nose combined with scents of balsamic and flint. With a powerful and persistent character on the palate, it showcases soft tannins and a finish that is pleasantly savory.

Palmento Costanzo sits in Contrada Santo Spirito on the northern slope of Etna, around a conservatively restored 19th-century palmento (traditional lava-stone wine press) with a new bio-architectural cellar built beside it. Its eighteen hectares are terraced across several contrade, each on a different lava flow, and every parcel is vinified separately in steel, tonneaux or large casks so each soil speaks with its own voice.
