What to say

  • Brilliant yellow appearance and a fruity, mellow nose with fresh sensations of white flowers, alternating with notes of apples and pears, and subtle hints of aromatic herbs.
  • After a century making Ferrari Trentodoc, the Lunelli family turned to still wine in the 1980s, first in the mountain vineyards of Tenuta Margon in Trentino, then at Podernovo in the Pisan hills of Tuscany and, from 2001, at Castelbuono in Montefalco, Umbria.
  • On the palate, it is lively, refreshing, and tangy; the mouth is initially filled with rounded fruit, leading to appealing citrus-like notes and mineral hints on the finish.

The producer

Tenute Lunelli

After a century making Ferrari Trentodoc, the Lunelli family turned to still wine in the 1980s, first in the mountain vineyards of Tenuta Margon in Trentino, then at Podernovo in the Pisan hills of Tuscany and, from 2001, at Castelbuono in Montefalco, Umbria. The Umbrian estate is crowned by the Carapace, a winery sculpted by artist Arnaldo Pomodoro and completed in 2012, and its vineyards have been converted to organic farming.
