Deep yellow colour with golden highlights. On the nose complex, fragrant, and persistent, offering hints of apple, grapefruit, almond blossom, and citrus fruits. On the palate, it is well-structured, elegant, delicate, and well-balanced, with fruity varietal notes enhanced by maturation in wood.

After a century making Ferrari Trentodoc, the Lunelli family turned to still wine in the 1980s, first in the mountain vineyards of Tenuta Margon in Trentino, then at Podernovo in the Pisan hills of Tuscany and, from 2001, at Castelbuono in Montefalco, Umbria. The Umbrian estate is crowned by the Carapace, a winery sculpted by artist Arnaldo Pomodoro and completed in 2012, and its vineyards have been converted to organic farming.
