Tasting note

This wine is a deep ruby red colour with garnet, bright, very intense and of great consistency. The nose is fruity (blackberries, blueberries), floral (rose hips, violet) and spicy (liquorice, green pepper). It is a balanced full-bodied wine.

Le Marie is a family winery at Assarti, a hamlet of Barge at the foot of Monviso and Monte Bracco, where vines have been documented since a 1203 charter praising the wines of 'Eyssart'. Owner Valerio, his wife Luigina and children Simona and Daniele farm ten hectares of red schist soils at 400-450 m, producing small quantities of Pinerolese DOC wines with low-impact practices.
