The Alessandro family have 35 hectares of vineyards in and around Camporeale in North West Sicily, 400 meters above sea level. It is in this fertile clay and limestone-based soil that the family has cultivated native grape varieties, such as Catarratto and Grillo. All work in the vineyard is done by hand, following organic farming principles.

Organic The Catarratto Vigna di Mandranova is an elegant wine from the oldest cru vineyard of the estate at 600 metres. Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The fruity and floral bouquet, with hints of white flowers, lemon zest, and green apple, is complemented by a spicy and mineral finish, with notes of white pepper and flint.

Producer

The Alessandro family has farmed around Camporeale since the early 1900s and bottled its first wine under its own name in 2000. The estate's organically farmed hillside vineyards at 300-600 m focus on native Catarratto, Grillo and Nero d'Avola alongside a celebrated Syrah, Kaid.
