Situated just three kilometres from San Gimignano the vineyard has the optimal position. High enough to capture the Tuscan sun, yet remains protected enough from the elements to create the perfect microclimate for optimal grape growth.
The 2020 Vernaccia is a deep straw yellow tending to golden colour. The aroma is fruity and intense with notes of sweet almond. The palate is full, harmonious and distinctive.

Fugnano is a medieval hamlet first recorded in 1254, emptied by the 1348 plague and later farmed by sharecroppers. After the war the Sicilian Commendatore Andrea Pensabene bought and restored it; when he died in 1997 his granddaughter Laura Dell'Aira, then 23, left her law studies in Palermo to bring in the harvest and never left. She now runs the estate, growing Vernaccia, Sangiovese and Colorino alongside Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah, all hand-picked.
