Benedetto Alessandro

Generazione Alessandro is the creation of three cousins – Benedetto, Anna, and Benedetto – who, together with their fathers, oversee the operations of the family winery located in the province of Palermo. Drawing from their years of experience and skill sets acquired at the Alessandro di Camporeale company, they decided to venture into a new project on Etna, a region renowned for its incredibly varied viticultural characteristics resulting in the creation of wines that boast a distinct and robust identity.

This wine presents a bright and vivid ruby red color. On the nose, enticing notes of blueberry and blackberry intertwine with floral and spicy aromas, creating a rich and elegant bouquet. Hints of violet, pine resin, cardamom, and sandalwood contribute to an intriguing potpourri of scents. On the palate, firm yet well-balanced tannins are complemented by an energetic freshness and a savory sapidity that dries the mouth on the finish, leaving a lingering and pleasantly distinctive sensation reminiscent of capers and anchovies. Organic certified and vegan

Producer

Generazione Alessandro is the Etna project of cousins Benedetto, Anna and Benedetto Alessandro, the fourth generation of the family behind Alessandro di Camporeale near Palermo. From 2015 they bought and planted about ten hectares on the volcano's north-eastern slope across four contrade, making single-vineyard Etna DOC wines from Nerello Mascalese and Carricante; their first wine, Trainara 2018, won Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri.
