Focused on producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Puglia, Le Vigne di Sammarco combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern innovation to craft wines with distinct character and complexity. The winery is particularly known for its use of native grape varieties like Primitivo and Negroamaro, as well as international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Their wines are celebrated for their deep flavors, robust structure, and balanced profiles, capturing the essence of Puglia’s warm climate and fertile soils. With a commitment to sustainability and quality, Le Vigne di Sammarco has earned a reputation for producing wines that showcase the best of this southern Italian region.

Clear and intense yellow color. On the nose aromas of exotic fruits, chestnut honey, toasted hazelnuts, and a hint of lemon cream. On the palate, it is full, soft, and structured, with a balance of fresh acidity and savory qualities that complement the ripe, sweet fruit flavors. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a lingering sweet vanilla note.

Producer

Le Vigne di Sammarco is the Rizzello family's estate at Cellino San Marco in the Salento, built up over three generations since grandfather Marco chose to bottle his own wine in the 1970s. The family farms 200 hectares, 120 of them under vine, with most of the land given to the native Salento grapes Negroamaro, Primitivo, Malvasia Nera and Susumaniello. The range runs from an everyday Classica line to the Nottetempo Chardonnay cru and the oak-aged Selezione wines.
