Born from Marco Buvoli’s passion for Pinot Nero and inspired by Champagne and Burgundy, L’Opificio del Pinot Nero is a small artisan winery in the hills of Vicenza. Working with limited quantities and a highly hands-on approach, Marco creates distinctive Pinot Nero wines, with a particular focus on complex, traditional-method sparkling wines.
Elegant and aromatic, with notes of raspberry, red cherry, violet and fresh herbs. Fresh and vibrant on the palate, with fine tannins, lively acidity and subtle peppery and graphite notes through the finish.

Marco Buvoli, a self-described artisan and autodidact, began L'Opificio del Pinot Nero after a winter evening in 1997 spent with an old blanc de noirs Champagne. He dedicated part of his home on the Vicenza hills to a cellar, focusing on Pinot Nero both as traditional-method sparkling wine and as a Burgundy-inspired red, with tiny 'garage wine' bottlings alongside.
