The Maurer family from Röschitz have made wines for generations: unmistakable mineral and authentic wines. Röschitz is a great area for white wines with low annual rainfall of only 300ml. This proves to be an advantage for growing quality grapes where it is possible to produce elegant wine with delicious minerality
Golden yellow with green reflections. Very complex scent, acacia blossoms and rosewood. Complex aromas, lots of expressive fruit. An excellent Riesling with enormous potential. Screw Cap

Weingut Leo Maurer is a fourth-generation family estate in Röschitz at the foot of the Manhartsberg in Austria's Weinviertel, run by Leo Maurer since the early 2000s with his parents Alfred and Maria helping in the vineyards. Thirteen hectares of primary-rock sites (Reipersberg, Stoitzenberg, Himmelreich, Haidweingärten, Mühlberg) are hand-harvested with restricted yields, the focus being Grüner Veltliner alongside Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. Falstaff's 2020/21 guide listed the estate among Austria's best wineries.
