Palmento Costanzo is a notable winery on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, recognized for its unique volcanic terroir. Established by Mimmo Costanzo and Valeria Agosta, the winery focuses on restoring ancient winemaking traditions. The estate benefits from rich volcanic soil, ancient terracing, and varying vineyard elevations, contributing to the complexity of the wines. The winery cultivates indigenous grape varieties like Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio for reds, and Carricante and Catarratto for whites. They produce Etna Rosso, Etna Bianco, and Rosato, known for their elegance and expression of the terroir.
Straw yellow colour with green nuances, with an intense, rich and ample bouquet of orange blossom, citrus and tropical fruits and with notes of oregano and flint. On the palate mineral and sinuous with a pleasant acidity and a sapid finish.
