Tenuta Bastonaca is named after the Bastonaca district, located in the heart of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, home to the renowned Frappato and Nero d’Avola grapes. This young and modern winery, rooted in tradition, is set in a region rich with wine history. Established with a focus to preserve the local viticultural heritage and promote Sicily’s native grape varieties, the winery employs organic farming techniques and prioritizes minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the cellar. This approach ensures that the wines are authentic expressions of the land and climate.

Intense red ruby colour with hues of purple. On the nose full bodied, ethereal, with scents of red fruit, pleasant notes of vanilla. On the palate distinctive character, with vibrant acidity and justly tannic. Organic certified and vegan

Producer

Tenuta Bastonaca takes its name from the Bastonaca district in the heart of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria zone, where the cellar sits in an 18th-century palmento. Fifteen hectares of head-trained bush vines of Frappato, Nero d'Avola, Grenache and Tannat are farmed by hand without irrigation and in conversion to organic, with Carlo Ferrini consulting. A one-hectare plot of 50-year-old Nerello vines at Solicchiata on Etna's north slope completes the estate.
