Tenuta di Tavignano is a family estate in the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC area of the Marche region and was founded by Stefano Aymerich and his wife Beatrice. Since the 1990s, they have focused on producing high-quality Verdicchio wines. The estate, now run by Stefano’s niece Ondine de la Feld, transitioned to organic production in 2014 and is 100% certified organic. Located 350 meters above sea level, it encompasses 34 hectares of vineyards. Tenuta di Tavignano’s ‘I Love Monsters’ label honors Marche’s winemaking heritage with a modern twist. Second-generation owner Ondine delves into Verdicchio’s potential, utilizing traditional methods and indigenous grape varieties, resulting in exceptional wines that embody the region’s energy and aromatic qualities, and that are organic, natural and unfiltered.

Bright and elegant, this wine reveals ripe fruit, sweet almond, acacia flowers, star anise and citrus on the nose, with a long, savoury and mineral finish.

Producer

Tenuta di Tavignano is a 230-hectare estate at Cingoli founded in 1973 by Stefano Aymerich di Laconi and Beatrice Lucangeli, who turned a cereal and fodder farm towards Verdicchio in the 1990s. Their granddaughter Ondine de la Feld Aymerich joined in 2014 and has been CEO since 2021, completing the move to certified organic farming in 2018. The flagship Misco Verdicchio has won Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri and was named Gambero Rosso's best white wine of Italy for the 2015 vintage.
